Skolunkans Kulturmakeri is a public-interest non-profit association established in 2025.
The association is non-political and has as its object to carry out public-benefit non-profit activity in the form of:
- creating local and international meetings, on-site in Skolunkan Östervåla or in collaboration with places that share our goals;
- supporting the exchange of experience, in-depth dialogue with the kitchen-table conversation as its model, and the development of new thinking and new collaborations around society's common challenges;
- promoting transdisciplinary and boundary-crossing collaborations between institutional and non-institutional partners;
- holding cultural events and promoting artistic expression
with the goal of contributing to the conditions for a living culture, intercultural learning and democratic renewal.
The association works for cross-generational meetings and directs its activities to people of all ages, irrespective of background. The association works actively to counter all forms of discrimination.
